How to track a wagon by number

Where the number comes from

The number is painted on the wagon and written in the transport papers: 7 or 8 digits. A leading zero does not matter, 01234567 and 1234567 are the same wagon. A container number is different: it starts with letters and is not searched here.

What the answer contains

• The station name, or a note that no station is given.
• State: loaded, empty or unknown.
• What time the data refers to.
• When the answer was refreshed.

How fresh the data is

Reports refresh once or twice a day, so asking for the same wagon again straight away returns the same answer. That is why opening your own wagon again within 6 hours is free.

Route history

No. The page shows the current location only: where the wagon is now.

If the wagon is not found

Check the number first. If the number is right, the wagon is not in the reports: it may be new or outside the country.

Price

The first search is free for every account. Opening your own wagon again within 6 hours does not count either. After that, unlimited search comes with a subscription.
