How wagon rent works
A private owner rents an idle wagon per month or per day. What to check in a listing, what the price unit means and how to send an inquiry.
Who rents out
Private wagon owners and operators. While a wagon stands idle they rent it out: covered, gondola, flat, tank, hopper or reefer. On YukSaroy these listings live under Equipment, each with the owner's page.
Price unit
- Per month: long-term rent, the most common unit.
- Per day: short term, a few trips.
- Total: that is a sale, not rent.
- On request: the owner did not set a price; ask with an inquiry.
What to check
- Year and condition: required by the listing standard.
- Capacity in tons and quantity.
- Where it stands: region, and a terminal or siding when linked.
- The owner's KYC badge.
Process
The price is open. An account is needed to send an inquiry and see the phone. The contract and payment happen outside the platform; there is no commission on rent.
